BlastFuse

Player stats and systems

Bomb capacity, blast range, movement speed, and the other systems that shape a BlastFuse run.

Core player stats

The HUD keeps the stats you need mid-run on screen. The same icons are used on the HUD, in the Forge, and on the results screen, so you only have to learn them once.

Bomb capacity

How many bombs you can drop at once. More bombs means more pressure on enemies, but a smaller safe grid for you.

Blast range

How far one explosion reaches. Longer range clears more, but leaves you more exposed.

Movement speed

How fast you can get out of your own blast, or reposition when an enemy closes in.

Board systems

Destructible blocks

Crates block a path until you blow them up. Breaking one is a choice, not an accident.

Enemy pressure

Enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses force you to keep moving instead of camping a safe tile. See Enemies and NPCs.

Keys and gates

Exit keys you must find before the level lets you out. They tie movement to a clear goal.

Hazards

  • Fire tiles physically block both player and enemy movement instead of acting as damage only.
  • Ember Sprite zones linger on the board as active danger zones. Stepping into one applies a punishment, and animated flame visuals mark the zone and fade as it expires. Enemies and abilities can trigger them.

Progression systems

Equipment and abilities

Forge upgrades and active abilities you pick between runs change how you solve the same grid. Version 1.0.5 added the Forge and Equipment upgrade system, along with drop chances for equipment and enemy bomb parts. Active abilities show clear cooldown timers.

Player progression

Campaign worlds, skill points, and unlocks give short runs a reason to add up to something. Levels reward skill points.

Daily content

  • Daily Missions track enemy defeats, chain explosion reactions, and active ability uses.
  • Daily shop uses tiered pricing and purchase limits.

Staying alive

  • Shield: a charge-based consumable that can block incoming damage. A cue around your character shows the remaining shield charges.
  • Revive: you can revive from defeat under the right conditions.

Special pickups

Version 0.8.5 added these special pickups:

  • Magnet: pulls nearby items toward you over time.
  • Speed Dash
  • Ghost Walk
  • Bomb Frenzy: uses charges, and its charge indicators disappear one by one as charges are spent.
  • Gold Rush
  • Time Freeze
  • Chaos Swap

The same update added the Halloween Wisp Soul event pickup and its collection rewards.
